The schools in our district that receive those funds are Richard Carroll Elementary, Denmark Olar Elementary, Bamberg Ehrhardt Middle, Denmark Olar Middle, and Denmark Olar High School. Of these funds 1% must be spent on parent/family involvement. We want to get feedback from parents about how you think that money should be spent. Please complete this Google Form to let us know your opinions and tell us how we did this year.

Denmark-Olar Middle School embraces character education as an effort to connect students with the concept of morality. It’s also an expanding field of social research, with implications for pedagogy and public health. The research has evolved from generic descriptions to defining characteristics of behavior that can be measured and evaluated over time. These measurements include positive and negative morality, self-development, honesty and respect for teachers and parents. Our goal is to employ a character education curriculum in our school which can improve self-discipline and determination, leading to a positive effect on academic grades, homework completion and good social behavior.
